The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is helping small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) to financially implement innovations despite the prevailing corona pandemic. It doesn't matter which industry you are in, only the size of the company is of interest and the degree of maturity of the project! This is how SMEs can thanks to Mittelstand Innovativ & Digital (MID) vouchers for development by universities or research institutes. The support is clearly designed to complete a product for the profit maximization of your company.
The program relies on implementation-oriented activities on the research side and is currently expanding the program for the important step towards the digitization of all types of companies. Projects are currently being supported until June 1st, 2021, such as the development of an app required for digital marketing. However, the focus here is on back-end developments, such as creating the necessary videos or building a database. The innovation voucher can be used to bring the familiar into the digital age, but also to have a prototype developed.

All companies based in North Rhine-Westphalia with fewer than 250 employees and annual sales of less than 50 million euros can apply for a voucher. The application must be made online, but the original must be sent to the funding agency for verification.
The scope of the funding depends on the project, the status of the project and the size of the company.
Digitization: up to 15.000,00 €
Analysis: up to 15.000,00 €
Innovation: up to 40.000,00 €
